We really loved our stay! The space was cozy, beautifully set up, and perfect for a relaxing break. Even though the weather wasn’t great, we still made the most of it — especially enjoying the hot tub, which was such a treat. Everything was spotless and comfortable, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back!

About the location
Carsington Water 13 miles; Matlock 18 miles.
Renowned for its friendly citizens, Derby is the UK’s most central city. With a full programme of festivals and events throughout the year you are always spoilt for choice. You can find fine food from all corners of the globe and Lonely Planet described it as “The best place to sample real ale in the world”. There’s a wealth of arts, culture and heritage and excellent retail therapy on offer. Derby is also a great base to explore nearby Peak District delights such as Ashbourne with it’s narrow cobbled alleys, coaching inns and almshouses and many fine Georgian buildings or Matlock and Matlock Bath, which has been attracting visitors since the 17th century. A host of attractions await including Gulliver’s Kingdom and the Peak District Mining Museum. Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car which takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham – a great place for all the family with its showcaves, nature trail and water gardens. A little further north is the market town of Bakewell and the world renowned Chatsworth House and Gardens, a lavish stately home with noted art collection plus a playground and farmyard in the lush grounds.
